Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of heterocyclic methyl substituted pyridine Schiff base transition metal complexes

Abstract In recent years heterocyclic Schiff base metal complexes attract more attention in biological application and also showing interesting co-ordination chemistry. this research article a novel methyl-substituted pyridine transition of Fe(III), Co(III), Cu(II), Ni(II) have been design synthesized by reacting acetate or salts (FeCl 3 , CoOAc, CuOAc, NiOAc), with substituted ligand. All newly metalcomplexes were characterized spectroscopic data screened for elemental analysis, FT-IR, ESR, Magnetic susceptibility TGA. The Electronic spectra magnetic measurements indicates that square planer octahedral geometry these suggest their structure which (N, O) group acts as bidentate thermal stability, decomposition rate thermodynamic parameters calculated Freeman Carroll method. Also the biostatistical antimicrobial anti-oxidant activities moderate to good results. Graphic abstract
